My Mo'olelo

My mo'olelo represents who I am as an individual. During the time of creating it I had some difficulty time coming up with what to draw for each letter of my name. With the help of my instructor he gave me some ides of adding in my family, beliefs, and nationality into it. With that as I began to d o my sketches I jot dot the important things so I can remember what each letter would represent. So at the ending of my sketches going into my final I finally came chose my best idea to do.  So to start off with my name it spells F-O-L-A-S-A. I am named after one of the high chiefs daughter in my family which is a princess, so therefore on the letter "F" I had drew a tuiga or a Samoan traditional crown. That represent purity I have and how honored I am to be named after her. For the letter "O" and "L" I had drew the Tokelauan national flag because that is one of my nationality. Letter "A" I drew the traditional ava bowl that is usually used my chiefs because my father is a chief in our family and I wanted to represent that.  "S" I tried making it look like the number 8 because I have 8 family members, and then 4 flowers within the line which represents my 4 siblings. Lastly for letter "A" I drew the Samoan Methodist symbol because that is my beliefs, always put GOD before anything you do, because without him there is nothing. This is my Mo'olelo each letter represents a aspect in my life and it all ties together as one and makes me, I carry my name with pride and I make sure I put a good sake on it.
